The Opera House is located at 539 Washington Street, in the heart of Boston's theatre district. Opened in 1928, the venue has been host to everything from extrvagant vaudeville to a movie screen. Recent efforts to revitalize the venue have cemeted the Opera House's place in the culture of Boston. Today the Opera House hosts hit Broadway musicals, popular and alternative musicians, along with the occasional Opera.

The 2008-2009 Season schedule is out! First up is A Chorus Line, running from September 9th to October 5th. Then Legally Blonde runs from October 28th to November 9th. The last currently announced show is Dirty Dancing finishing up its East Coast run on February 7th to March 15th of 2009.

Maxwell, Ray Lamontagne, Lyle Lovett, and the Black Crowes will also be appearing at the Opera House during October and November. Check the schedule page for dates.
